For this latest edition, EquipHotel is focusing on conscious hospitality. Hotel and restaurant guests want to feel reassured, stay connected while getting a change of scenery, and enjoy sustainable and responsible services. Local food and activities, slow tech and slow living, energy saving and soft mobility approaches are new assets for establishments where the guest experience is everything.

``Two major & beneficial economic events for the Hotel & Tourism industry will take please in the upcoming years in France, the World Rugby Cup (2023) & Olympic Games 2024.``

The employee experience is also becoming a priority. Attractiveness, team spirit, inclusion, and employee retention are at the heart of a hotel or restaurant’s organisation. “Society is evolving. So are behaviours and jobs. We need to adapt. This November, EquipHotel will therefore increase the number of discussions and perspectives from experts to help hotel and restaurant professionals anticipate these changes, handle them and overcome them,” explains Béatrice Gravier, Director of the show and of the Hospitality & Food division at RX France.

Interiors Pick: How do you see Parisian & French Hospitality evolving?

Béatrice Gravier: We’re heading to a Hospitality that will be more conscious. It will be a way of thinking of an establishment as a place of life,” it’s important to think of the word “life” in the plural, “because customers expect professionals to provide spaces not only for sleeping, lunching or dining, but also for working, meeting, relaxing, recharging their batteries, and immersing themselves in a local culture or nature.

Interiors Pick: In April 2021 you’ve launched eh! ONLINE a digital platform, how do you see the role of eh! ONLINE and the platform targets for the future?

Béatrice Gravier: We’ve launched eh! ONLINE to create a digital community and provide continuous access to products and services from French and international suppliers as well as exclusive industry content.

We had a very good reception from the industry professionals and as we are nearly approaching the one year anniversary of the platform, we can say that eh! ONLINE is here to stay in conjunction to EquipHotel Paris.

Our plans on the future is to use eh! ONLINE to bring even more quality industry content to our audience alongside new and innovative hospitality products and suppliers.

Interiors Pick: What can we expect on EquipHotel 2022?

Béatrice Gravier: The EquipHotel trade show will be back from 6 to 10 November in Paris, Porte de Versailles. This year’s event will feature sustainability, attractiveness, digital, layout and well-being. All this will be punctuated by conferences, experiential spaces and workshops. As for the employee experience, it is becoming a priority: attractiveness, team spirit, inclusion, loyalty. These are the key words for attracting newcomers and retaining established talent.

Society is changing. So are behaviours and jobs. We have to adapt. EquipHotel will therefore feature a wide range of debates and expert points of view, to help hotel and restaurant professionals anticipate these changes, tame them and overcome them.
